Chemususu Catchment

Farms ringing the Chemususu Dam catchment, where soil washing off hillside plots was silting the reservoir that supplies Eldoret town.

Chemususu Catchment restoration work in Baringo
Chemususu Catchment, Baringo

This is a farm-edge project rather than a forest-block project: terracing, cover cropping and fodder-tree intercropping on the slopes directly above the dam, aimed at cutting the sediment load reaching Chemususu — Eldoret's main water source.
